Crankshaft Position Sensor

HEY!  Long time, no talk!  Sorry about that.  I haven't been particularly busy, but sufficiently busy enough with work, school and life to keep me from blogging.  No bueno!  I actually didn't do much this past weekend and could have blogged, but I was feeling a bit under the weather.  Nothing major, but I did sleep pretty much the whole day on Sunday which is highly unlike me.  I made some juice Sunday afternoon for a little pick me up:

I started feeling better by Monday, but my car decided it wasn't feeling well and left me stranded in Gainesville when I got off work.  I made it to Publix on 13th, and then to the middle of 39th.  But that's when things went downhill.  I got in the turn lane for 441 when my engine cut off and I became that person in the middle of traffic with their hazard lights on.  That was fun.  Thank the Lord I was able to strategically make it into a CVS parking lot (think lots of prayer, cutting my car off, then back on, and pressing the gas pedal as hard as possible in an attempt to coast into the parking lot--which was uphill, mind you.  Daddy, pretend you didn't read that.) and call Thad.  He was my knight in shining armor as he came to the rescue, fixed my car, drove it home while I drove his truck and took me out to Moe's since I was too stressed to think about cooking the steak I had planned.  AND I didn't get lectured since the car problem wasn't really my fault!  He's a swell guy.  I took the day off on Tuesday to take it in to the mechanic and thankfully it was just a crankshaft position sensor.  Did you know your car had a crankshaft?  Or a position sensor?  Because I didn't.  Anyway, it was {only} $168 to get it fixed which is chump change compared to most car problems.

ON TO THE FOOD!

Breakfasts of late:

2 eggs, 2 pluots, homemade almond butter

Shannon cereal: 3/4 cup kefir, 1 tsp chia seeds, pluot, blueberries, pecans

The oh-so-typical lunch:

Vegetables, roasted chicken and mustard & tahini

Dinners:

Veg-it-ables and meat (this was some of a whole roasted chicken that I...roasted.)

And that's about it.  I ran 4 miles at the park yesterday.  I decided to go to the park since I only have about a month left to take advantage of its trails. ;)

As for now, I'm zooming off to class.  But first, I'm stopping at Volta to get some fuel (aka coffee which is how I'm making it through days of waking up at 5am and not getting home until 9pm) before making the almost 2 hour trek.  I've never had Volta before so I'm slightly excited.

I'll be back tomorrow.  PROMISE.

I hate when something is wrong with the van, have you seen Dane Cook do his bi t on the mechanc. He talks about unicorns in the engine. It's hilarious and so me. And why only a month left on the park's trails? (Nevermind, as soon as I asked that I realized it's because you're moving!!)
